If you have a large listening space without sensitive neighbours ... F5 speakers can be a lot of fun. The Swans F5 system is related with the F1 system and has the ability to transform rooms of about 35 - 150 sq/m into a concert hall. Through the good efficiency and the uncritical impedance course, this can be achieved with simple amplifiers as well. Despite the powerful low-range bass dynamics produced by 38 cm subwoofers, the F5 sounds in the upper frequency range more like a fine high-end monitor. Known from the F1 system, the high-midrange unit consists of a 28 mm silk calotte in connection with a isodynamic ribbon tweeter and convinces with a very fine tuned high-resoluted sound without any sharpness. Because of the bass-midrange speakers low crossover frequency, the large subwoofers never move into the foreground in an uncomfortable way. As with all major high-end Swans speakers, the high-midrange unit is placed in a separate housing, which effectively decouples any possible occurring resonances produced by the subwoofer. The F5 system is expected to be currently the cheapest high-end loudspeaker system, providing a high sound quality with level-resistant low-range basses in large rooms. Whether the F5 plays its strengths in a 2-channel high-end system or in the home theater is not important at all.

In addition to the amended tonal vote (bass), the speakers are built with selected chassis, ROHS-approved components and will be delivered with a slightly change in design.
F5 speakers are only available in the U.S. version; still ROHS production guidelines and the type signs are different.
We recommend the F5 for home theater applications, large rooms and music clubs.
